The ITXR Master’s courses take place on the Saint-Etienne “Campus Manufacture“, which is located near the Cité du Design. A place dedicated to innovation and research where you will find Télécom Saint-Etienne, the Knowledge Center for Innovation and the Hubert Curien laboratory.

Télécom Saint-Etienne

An integral part of the Université Jean Monnet in Saint-Etienne and an associate member of the Institut Mines-Télécom, TSE trains around 540 student engineers each year in electronics, optics, telecommunications, networks, imaging, vision and informatics.

Knowledge Center for Innovation

The Knowledge Center for Innovation is new building next to the Telecom Saint-Etienne building structured around a training center, a learning center, an innovation-entrepreneurship-technology transfer center and a Fab lab. It will be fully operational when the Master ITXR program will start in September 2021.

The Hubert Curien laboratory

The Hubert Curien laboratory is a joint research unit (UMR 5516 ) of the Jean Monnet University, Saint-Etienne, the National Research Centre “CNRS” and the Institut d’Optique Graduate School. It is composed of about 90 researchers, professors and assistant professors, 20 engineers and administrative staff and 130 PhD and post-PhD students. This makes the Hubert Curien laboratory with a total of about 240 staff the most important research structure of Saint-Etienne. Our research activities are organized according to two scientific departments: Optics, photonics and  surface and Computer Science, Security, Image. The research activity is structured into scientific projects within 6 main teams: Micro/Nano structuringRadiation-matter InteractionImage Science & computer visionData IntelligenceConnected Intelligence and Secure Embedded Systems & Hardware Architectures.
